      Learning the Value of Gold

      Nicosia, 07.06.2011

The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Cyprus Canada Business Association and the Bullion Management Group Inc. from Canada organized a lecture entitled “Learning the Value of Gold” in Nicosia.

We are nowadays in the midst of an irreversible monetary crisis and precious metals bullion ownership, a rising trend, appears to be one of the best means of protection. In truth, currencies around the world are losing purchasing power against gold as countries are locked in a “race to debase” through currency printing.  This is the first time in recorded history that none of the world’s major currencies has gold backing.

In view of these developments, the presentation explored:

      • Why precious metals have resumed their historical role as real money
      • Why the dollar is shrinking
        •  Why investors are demanding real money
        •  Why central banks and major investors are diversifying into gold
        • Why thinking of gold as a commodity is a mistake
        • How to use gold and other precious metals as portfolio protection

The topic was presented by Mr. Paul de Sousa, Vice-President of Business Development at Bullion Management Group Inc.
